At Greenway Equipment, Inc., we are incredibly proud to have played an integral role in the development of the Northeast Rice Research and Extension Center (NERREC) in Harrisburg, Arkansas. The grand opening event, held on August 30, was a momentous occasion attended by distinguished leaders from across our state. We were honored to hear from Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who emphasized the importance of agricultural research for the state and the nation. U.S. Representative Rick Crawford also spoke, highlighting the Center’s potential to drive advancements in rice production, which is vital to both local and global food security.
One of the event’s highlights was the speech by Dr. Timothy N. Burcham, NERREC Director, who shared his vision for the Center as a hub for cutting-edge research that will benefit farmers, scientists, and consumers alike. Dr. Burcham’s insights into the future of rice cultivation resonated with everyone in attendance, reaffirming the significance of this project.
