Ag Tech Program
If you’re a recent high school graduate and are interested in a career in agriculture, Greenway Equipment’s Ag Tech Program can provide you with an incredible foundation on which you can start building a successful career. Sponsored Greenway Ag-Tech students are provided a debt-free education within a two-year John Deere certification program which qualifies him/her to achieve full-time job placement within the Greenway organization upon graduation.
In addition to obtaining an Associate of Applied Science in Agricultural Equipment Technology from our partnered collegiate institutions: Arkansas State University – Beebe in Beebe, AR and Northwest Community College in Sentobia, MS, the Ag-Tech program trains students on various machinery components and cutting-edge agricultural technologies like:
- Engine systems
- Machine setup and adjustments
- John Deere’s latest AMS Technology Systems
- Diagnostic Computer System repairs
The average entry-level graduate of this program can expect to earn ~$40,000 – $50,000 per year in Service Departments or ~$30,000 per year in Parts Departments at Greenway Equipment upon graduation, depending on the path taken.
Ag-Tech Program Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Acceptable scores on ACT or Accuplacer Placement Test
- Passing scores on a Mechanical Reasoning Test
- Acceptance for sponsorship by Greenway Equipment, obtained through employment application and interview process
